ORAU STEM Accelerator

Michelle Goodson is the Director of the ORAU STEM Accelerator (OSA). Under her leadership, OSA is leading the way in nuclear workforce capacity-building for Oak Ridge; the State of Tennessee; the Southeastern region, and the nation at-large, through key workforce development initiatives including the Partnership for Nuclear Energy (PNE), the Nuclear Energy Academic Roadmap (NEAR), and the Tennessee Nuclear Energy Workforce Center (T-NEWC). Ms. Goodson holds a certification in Nuclear Energy Management from the International Atomic Energy Agency and is also credentialed as a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resource Management. She has more than 20 years of expertise in workforce development, full-cycle recruitment, technical staffing, training and development, and talent management. She previously served as the Director of ORAU’s Workforce Solutions team – a dynamic group of more than 20 talent acquisition professionals that successfully recruited approximately 1,000 individuals for the nuclear energy industry in the last fiscal year, ranging from craft laborers and emerging talent to scientific and technical subject matter experts, as well as mid-career professionals and VP or C-suite executives. She actively supports the U.S. Women in Nuclear Objective 1: Workforce Development initiatives, the East Tennessee Economic Council Nuclear Working Group, and participates in Nuclear Energy Institute working groups.
