Ryan Pickering is a nuclear energy developer and policy researcher working at the intersection of grassroots advocacy and large-scale project development. He co-founded the Nuclear is Clean Energy (NiCE) Club, mobilizing students and young professionals to reframe nuclear as central to America’s future. Ryan has organized campaigns to save existing plants and helped shape energy policy at both the state and federal levels. As a Director at Oppenheimer Energy, he partners with major utilities to advance new gigawatt-scale projects. His work connects civic organizing, environmental philanthropy, institutional finance, workforce development, and the reindustrialization effort to ensure the United States successfully deploys hundreds of gigawatts of nuclear energy in the next 25 years.
