Sue Magidson
Vanderbilt University
Sue has 40 years of experience working in the nuclear-environmental remediation field, including working for the Department of Energy for nearly 30 years. Prior to Sue's retirement, she was the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for DOE’s Office of Environmental Management, where she was responsible for the safe cleanup of nuclear defense sites with an annual budget of approximately $6.5 billion. Sue holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in environmental engineering from Vanderbilt University and is currently working on completing the requirements for her doctoral degree in this same field. Her research is focused on Nuclear Education and Workforce Development.
