Luke Martin is a Partner at ScottMadden and leads the firm’s Operational Technology (OT) and AI Enablement Center of Excellence, as well as the quarterly ScottMadden Nuclear AI Roundtable. Over nearly two decades, Luke has driven digital transformation and workforce modernization across the nuclear sector, partnering with EPRI R&D programs and leading utilities to deploy cutting-edge capital projects—such as remote monitoring networks, digital training platforms, and advanced sensor integration. He facilitates the ScottMadden Nuclear AI Roundtable, where more than a dozen utilities and AI vendors share best practices and lessons learned from frontline AI implementations.
Luke has collaborated with DOE-funded pilots at Idaho National Laboratory on Integrated Operations and Oak Ridge National Laboratory on OT Cybersecurity efforts and worked with major nuclear vendors to build business cases for digital instrumentation upgrades, predictive-maintenance analytics, and operator decision-support dashboards. As a technology integrator, he’s guided utilities through end-to-end capital program deployments—aligning engineering, IT, and operations teams to ensure seamless solution rollouts. He also spearheads workforce initiatives, designing OT cyber-ready competency models and modernizing training with immersive video, XR tools, and AI-driven “copilot” systems.
He holds an M.B.A. in Energy & Environment from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a dual B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University. A frequent speaker, Luke continues to advise utility executives, regulators, and technology partners on harnessing AI and digital tools to secure nuclear power as a clean, reliable energy source well into long-term operations.
