Pete Carlone

MPR

After receiving his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Duke University, Mr. Carlone immediately joined MPR Associates in July of 1997. Since then, Mr. Carlone has been involved in a variety of projects for the nuclear power industry, nationally and internationally, in various aspects such as project management, root cause and operability evaluation, performance analysis, margin management, design change, and license renewal.  In his role as Vice President of MPR’s domestic nuclear operating fleet business, Mr. Carlone oversees MPR's relationships with nuclear utility partners, industry initiatives, high visibility projects, and development of strategic teams. His specific focus is on high-impact initiatives in the operating fleet to improve equipment reliability, understand and mitigate risks, strategically plan for effective deployment of capital investment, modernize systems and processes, and mentor the next wave of nuclear professionals.   Mr. Carlone is currently the vice-chair of the NEI Supplier Advisory Committee (SAC), the chair of the NEI Operating Fleet Supplier Subcommittee (OFSS), MPR’s representative on NEI’s Nuclear Strategic Issues Advisory Committee (NSIAC), and is the supplier representative on the Design Oversight Working Group (DOWG).
