Calvin Pugh is the General Manager of Fleet Nuclear Projects. He is responsible for providing project management, technical, licensing and construction support for the Nuclear Fleet (4 sites). In this role, he is responsible for managing a project portfolio of $6.5B over the next 15 years as well NRC Licensing and other permitting for plant life extension. Currently, Dominion has an extended license to operate 3 of 4 sites in the fleet for 80 years with the 4th in process. The large project portfolio includes the following replacements / modifications: Steam Generator replacement, Main Generators, Main Condensers, Feedwater Heaters and Digital I&C modernization for the 4 sites in the Dominion Fleet. Additionally, his team is responsible for the Fleet strategic initiatives that is evaluating plant power up rates and 24-month fuel cycles.
Calvin joined Dominion in 1991 as an associate engineer in the Nuclear Engineering support organization. He began his leadership journey in Fossil Power Generation – Yorktown Power Station - between 2000 to 2009. Those roles were in the following areas: Technical Support, Operations and Maintenance. He returned to North Anna as the Supervisor Nuclear Human Performance in 2009 and then obtained his SRO knowledge certification and worked on shift from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017 he worked in various departments within Nuclear engineering and participated on several INPO industry site evaluations as an Industry Peer from 2014-2017. He was Manager-Nuclear Project Technical Support from August 2017 to December 2021 where he was responsible for providing engineering, technical, licensing, procurement, and construction support for the North Anna Subsequent License Renewal (SLR) project. The SLR portfolio includes several projects with individual costs of more than $2.0B over a span of 15 years. Pugh was promoted to director Nuclear Engineering at North Anna in January 2022 and assumed his current GM role in June 2025.
Calvin received his Bachelor of mechanical engineering degree at Old Dominion University and his Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He holds a Professional Engineer license in Virginia, a Six Sigma green belt certification and obtained an SRO certification at North Anna in 2012. In the community, he serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Richmond Community Toolbank organization (2024-Present).
