Alex Superfin has 42 years of experience in energy and infrastructure sectors, managing large projects in North America, Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia. Along with a diverse technical and commercial background, Alex brings an expertise of international nuclear project development and management.
Prior to re-joining Bechtel Nuclear in 2025, Alex has been an Executive Vice President, Project Delivery, Ultra Safe Nuclear, responsible for development and execution of Micro Modular Reactor projects globally. Alex’s previous role of Nuclear Power President at Worley involved development and oversight of nuclear projects globally, including consultancy and engineering for new-build large nuclear power plant projects and Small Modular Reactors. In one of his major roles in the nuclear industry, Alex was the CEO of Akkuyu Nuclear Project Company and was responsible for development and the initial phase of implementation of a $25 Billion 4,800 MW Nuclear Power Plant project in Turkey.
Earlier in his career, Alex worked for Bechtel Group in engineering, business development and project management in the US, UK, Azerbaijan and Russia.
Alexander holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Moscow Power Engineering Institute and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, USA.
