Dennis Moore is a seasoned professional in the nuclear energy industry, boasting over 24 years of transformative leadership. As the Senior Manager of Licensing at Constellation Energy Generation, LLC, he plays a pivotal role in the restart of the Christopher M. Crane Clean Energy Center including the name change from Three Mile Island, Unit 1.
Before his current role, Dennis excelled as the Senior Manager of Exelon Nuclear Emergency Preparedness. Here, he was the Corporate Functional Area Manager (CFAM) responsible for overseeing Emergency Preparedness across 13 nuclear stations. He developed strong collaborations with state and county emergency agencies, supporting innovations such as the Electronic Offsite Notification System. His leadership led to the implementation of a pooled Standard Emergency Response Organization (ERO), eliminating the need for ERO duty teams, streamlining operations, and achieving staffing efficiencies.
As the Site Regulatory Assurance Manager and a member of the Nine Mile Point Senior Leadership Team, Dennis drove continuous improvement in regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness. His efforts in community engagement, particularly through the NMP Charity Golf Outing, showcased his ability to foster strong stakeholder relationships and drive community impact.
Earlier in his career, Dennis served as a Principal Regulatory Specialist at Exelon's Oyster Creek facility. His work focused on regulatory excellence, contributing to one of the fleet's lowest NRC finding rates. His operational leadership was further demonstrated in roles as Operations Shift Manager and Senior Reactor Operator, where he managed plant operations and maintained strategic alignment with senior leadership.
Dennis's technical foundation is rooted in his education at the University of Pittsburgh, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. His academic excellence was complemented by his achievements at the Naval Nuclear Power School and Prototype, where he consistently graduated at the top of his class.
