Christopher Smith

Christopher Smith is Director of Duke Energy’s Strategic Capital organization, responsible for the fleet’s power uprate and 24 month fuel cycle programs. Chris brings over 16 years of experience in the nuclear industry, having worked across operations, engineering, maintenance, and training at both BWR and PWR stations. He was a 2013 World Nuclear University Summer Institute Fellow, holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from NC State—go Pack!—and previously held a Senior Reactor Operator license.
