Mark Newcomer is responsible for all fleet services at the 22 Constellation nuclear plants. He is responsible for the fleet refueling outages, all major projects and growth opportunities. Growth includes restart of the Crane clean energy center; fleet extended power up-rates and second license renewals. Constellation Energy operates the largest U.S. fleet of zero-carbon nuclear plants with more than 19,000 megawatts from 22 reactors at 13 facilities in Illinois, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania.
Professional History
Mark Newcomer has more than 35+ years of commercial nuclear plant experience working in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility at Three Mile Island, Oyster Creek, Clinton, Limerick, Peach Bottom and Corporate. Prior to becoming Senior VP Fleet Services, he was Senior VP of Engineering and Senior VP Mid-Atlantic Operations responsible for the fleet of East plants. He has also served as Vice President Fleet Support and Vice President, Outage Planning and Services. Before coming to corporate he served as Site Vice President at Clinton and Plant Manager at TMI. He has also held director level positions in engineering, work management, outage services and maintenance throughout his career.
Education
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University and holds a Senior Reactor Operator Certification from Peach Bottom.
Family
Mark resides in Downingtown PA. He and his wife, Cheryl, have three children, Ryan, Kyle and Caitlyn.
