Hunter Young

Jensen Hughes

With 16 years at Jensen Hughes, Hunter is the Vice President and Practice Leader for their Energy + Utilities division. His focus in the nuclear industry is on building strong client relationships and delivering risk-informed, performance-based engineering solutions to maximize safety, reliability, and security. He has personally enjoyed working with Jensen Hughes' Nuclear AI team on developing simple workflow efficiencies internally and now for utility partners. As a licensed civil-structural engineer, Hunter has a long track record of walking down and analyzing nuclear plants for seismic and blast loadings. Hunter holds a bachelors from Notre Dame and a masters from MIT. He is a native of Kansas City, and he and his wife currently live in Charlotte where they chase around their two daughters and dog, Tars, at the many North Carolina breweries for fun.
