Ben Holtzman

Ben is the Director of New Nuclear at the Nuclear Energy Institute. He is an accomplished and results-driven nuclear professional with over 15 years of experience in the nuclear energy industry. Ben is a recognized thought leader on how to accelerate the deployment of nuclear energy at scale and was part of the American Nuclear Society’s inaugural 40 Under 40 honorees. He previously led industry’s Accident Tolerant Fuel program and the development of an efficient risk-informed performance-based licensing framework. Before joining NEI, Ben worked at Westinghouse where he worked in Fuels and licensing the AP1000 reactor in the U.S. and internationally.
Ben holds a B.S. in nuclear engineering, a M.S. in nuclear, plasma, & radiological engineering, and an executive M.B.A.
