ENERCON

Booth 229

Since 1983, ENERCON has been a trusted engineering partner to the nuclear power industry. With more than four decades of experience and a workforce of over 2,700 engineers and technical professionals, we help utilities maximize the performance, safety, and longevity of the current U.S. nuclear fleet through power uprates, subsequent license renewal, equipment obsolescence solutions, and ongoing plant performance improvements. Our deep regulatory expertise and hands-on design engineering keep operating plants running reliably for decades to come. ENERCON is also at the forefront of the next generation of nuclear energy. As advanced reactor designs move from licensing toward construction, we provide the engineering design, siting, environmental, and regulatory services that developers and utilities need to bring new nuclear capacity online; from small modular reactors to microreactor programs supporting critical national security missions. With our recent merger with Pond & Company, ENERCON's capabilities are broader and deeper than ever. Pond brings decades of experience delivering mission-critical engineering across every branch of the U.S. Department of Defense, along with proven expertise in natural gas infrastructure, asset integrity services for nuclear and energy infrastructure, and industrial facility design. Together, we offer clients a wider engineering bench, the ability to support complex programs that span nuclear, conventional power, and federal energy resilience, and a shared commitment to the quality and safety standards the nuclear industry demands. Whether you are extending the life of an existing plant, planning for new nuclear capacity, or looking for an engineering partner who can support the full spectrum of energy infrastructure, ENERCON is ready to help meet the industry's needs today and into the future.

GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy

Booths 413 & 415

GE Vernova’s Nuclear businesses include both GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) and GE Vernova Steam Power Services (SPS). GVH is a world-leading provider of advanced reactors, fuel and reactor services, and SPS provides turbine island services for North America’s large-scale nuclear installed base. The GVH nuclear alliance combines GE Vernova’s design expertise and history of delivering reactors, fuel and services with Hitachi’s proven experience in advanced modular construction. Our history of boiling water reactor (BWR) technology dates to the 1950’s. Most recently, GVH has developed and is deploying an industry leading small modular reactor (SMR), the BWRX-300, a cost-competitive, 10th generation BWR based on proven technology and powered by today’s commercially available fuel design, GNF2. The first BWRX-300 is under construction at Ontario Power Generation’s Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP) site near Toronto, with an additional three units being planned. Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) Construction Permit Application for a BWRX-300 at its Clinch River site has been docketed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. TVA was awarded a $400 million grant by the U.S. Department of Energy to advance the BWRX-300. Japan is considering an investment of up to $100 billion for the construction of BWRX-300 SMRs. In addition to a heritage of designing BWR technology, we have been designing and manufacturing BWR fuel, as well as servicing the fleet for more than 60 years. Our Global Nuclear Fuel joint venture has fuel manufacturing facilities in Wilmington, North Carolina and Kurihama, Japan. We have also partnered with ENUSA to serve European customers from ENUSA’s Juzbado, Spain manufacturing location. The GVH and SPS services teams have a broad portfolio of offerings for components and systems. These teams can conduct refueling outages, execute an array of inspections and make modifications and upgrades to both reactor and turbine/generator components and systems. The parts group provides commercial-grade parts, dedicates parts to safety-related specifications and can fully meet the Product Quality Initiative requirements.
