Gregory Bowman

Senior Director of Regulatory Construction Oversight

TerraPower, LLC

Greg Bowman is the Senior Director of Regulatory Construction Oversight at TerraPower. In this role, he is responsible for leading efforts to prepare TerraPower for inspection and oversight activities conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.

Prior to joining TerraPower, Greg spent 23 years working for the NRC. During his time there, he served in a variety of leadership positions, including roles focused on modernizing the Reactor Oversight Process, implementing lessons learned from the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident, overseeing licensing and oversight of the new AP1000 units at Vogtle, and establishing physical and cyber security policy for both new and operating reactors. He concluded his NRC career as the Deputy Director for New Reactors in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, where he led licensing and oversight activities for new reactors.

Before working for the NRC, Greg spent five years as a training engineer and supervisor at the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Power Training Command, where he provided instruction on the operation of Navy nuclear propulsion systems.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
