As the Supply Chain Management Director for Southern Nuclear, Tim McAlister, is responsible for Category Management and Transactions, Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations for 8 nuclear units. In his 30plus years with Southern Company, Tim has held many positions in Supply Chain supporting various business units and different supply chain functions. From 2019 - 2021, Tim was responsible for leading the SCM’s Organization Transformation which included reorganizing SCM by business function (Power Delivery, Generation, Enterprise Services, Shared Services, Gas and Nuclear) and implementing Category Management across the Southern Company Enterprise.
Tim McAlister received his BS degree in Management and an Accounting Certificate from Georgia Institute of Technology in 1995 and an MBA from Brenau University in 2005. Tim earned his Certified Purchasing Manager designation in 1998, his Certified Purchasing Supply Professional designation in 2015 and is certified as a John Maxwell Trainer, Teacher, Speaker, and Coach.
