Dave Grabaskas is the manager of the Licensing and Risk Assessments Group at Argonne National Laboratory. His research focuses on advanced reactor safety, risk, and licensing, including source term analysis, component reliability, emergency preparedness, and the development of risk-informed performance-based design and licensing approaches. His is the lead author of NEI 24-05 on risk-informed performance-based emergency preparedness and currently serves as Chair of the ASME/ANS Probabilistic Risk Assessment Standard for Advanced Non-Light Water Reactor Nuclear Power Plants working group and is a U.S. representative to the GIF Risk and Safety Working Group (RSWG). He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering and MS and PhD in Nuclear Engineering from Ohio State University.
