Jim Lynde

Jim Lynde is nuclear industry leader with 36 years in the industry, currently serving as PWROG Chairman since 2023. His expertise spans engineering, risk, licensing, and operations, supporting his leadership of a diverse industry group.

• Extensive nuclear career and expertise: Jim began his career at in engineering after Nuclear Engineering degree in 1990 and contributed to various projects including the AP 600 design and Maintenance Rule industry implementation. He later served as a Senior Reactor Operator at D.C. Cook and Operations Manager at Byron Nuclear Power Stations, leading numerous operational and regulatory programs.
• Diverse operational and international experience: Holding an active SRO license for over 20 years, Jim has worked at multiple domestic and international PWR plants, leading design modifications, PRA, accident analyses, and emergency planning. His multi-site experience enhances his leadership with a broad industry perspective.
• Leadership roles and industry contributions: In addition to his PWROG Chairmanship, Jim has held key roles in various PWROG committees and projects, including FLEX implementation and risk-beneficial procedure changes. He has also led US industry group collaboration efforts and international workshops and business initiatives to promote innovation and engagement across global nuclear communities.
