Stew Yuen

Stew is a mechanical engineer and has a master’s degree in business with over 40 years of experience in commercial nuclear power. He is currently on loan to NEI as a Senior Project Manager. His responsibilities include leading the Operational Aspects of Advanced Reactors (OAAR) task force, the NERC Issues Task force and the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) Chemical task force. Most of his career has been in engineering from system engineering, through various engineering leadership roles including Engineering Director at Kewaunee Power Station and Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Station. He obtained his Senior Reactor Operator Certification at Zion Nuclear Generating Station. He also spent 5 years performing Decommissioning at Kewaunee Power Station as the Decommissioning Plant Manager. Additional experience in Organizational Effectiveness and Quality Control.
Outside of work, Stew and his wife Jolyn (also a nuke) enjoy their time with their two dogs, traveling, exploring new cuisine, spending time with their parents, children and grandchildren.
