Daniel Klein

Daniel Klein is the Lead for Advanced Reactor Engineering at EPRI, where he oversees the Nuclear Beyond Electricity, Commissioning, Operational Readiness, Probabilistic Risk Assessment, Civil Engineering, and the Maintenance focus areas within the Advanced Nuclear Technology Program. His work mainly involves developing nuclear heat and electricity integration with industrial applications and data centers, as well as commissioning and maintenance for advanced reactors.
Before joining EPRI, Daniel spent 19 years at Framatome, where he held various roles including Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Supervisor in systems and component engineering organizations. He worked on major component replacement projects such as RPV head replacement and secondary side modifications. Daniel also spent one year at the Taishan site in China to support the commissioning of the EPR reactor design.
Daniel holds a BS degree in Mechanical/Environmental Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany, and an MBA from Liberty University. He is also a PMI certified Project Management Professional and IDCA certified Data Center Infrastructure Specialist.
