Emma L. Wong is Senior Staff Field Engineer – Energy Sector at IonQ, where she works with the energy industry to identify and advance quantum applications.

Emma brings nearly two decades of energy sector experience spanning nuclear regulation, technology innovation, and international policy. She began her career in 2007 at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, spending nine years as a chemical engineer and project manager on reactor licensing, spent fuel management, and materials aging issues. In 2017, she joined the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), ultimately leading Nuclear Innovation and Quantum Technologies, where she built EPRI's quantum technology and energy strategy from the ground up. From 2022 to 2024, she served a secondment at the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency in Paris as Senior Nuclear Technology and Innovation Advisor, leading global initiatives on small modular reactors, artificial intelligence, and nuclear innovation.

Emma holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.
