Juliann Edwards is Global Head of Sales for GEV Hitachi where she oversees a team that accelerates the commercialization and deployment of BWRX-300. Juliann was previously Chief Development Officer at The Nuclear Company, bringing nearly two decades of experience both in clean energy and workforce development. She is former chair of U.S. Women in Nuclear, a 5,000-member organization advancing the role of women in the industry, and also served on the board of Bruce Power, which is Canada’s only private-sector nuclear generator and the world’s largest operating nuclear facility. Juliann joined The Nuclear Company following her time as Vice President of Power and Energy at TC Energy, where she assembled a 100-person team to oversee the build-out of $16 billion in clean energy projects. Prior to TC Energy, Juliann served as Vice President at EnergySolutions, an Energy Capital Partners portfolio company, and oversaw various nuclear decommissioning transactions, seeing firsthand the issues created in taking offline large, stable and clean sources of power. Juliann’s career has also included engineering, procurement and construction work at CB&I; U.S. Department of Energy Loan Programs Office work for small modular reactor firm mPower; and sales leadership at Edgen Murray, where she also assisted in the launch of the company’s first nuclear power ASME program. Beyond her professional experience, Juliann honors her daughter, Lily, through advocating and fundraising for Rett Syndrome Research Trust, which works to eradicate the rare neurological and developmental disorder. Her passion for clean energy stems from her and her family’s time living in an area with poor environmental protections that led to Juliann herself being a cancer survivor.
