Mike McAnulty

Deputy Manager for Nuclear Energy, Operations & Security

Mr. McAnulty is the Deputy Manager for Operations and Security for the Office of Nuclear Energy (NE), Idaho Operations Office. Mike is responsible for meeting milestones to ensure mission accomplishment per the direction of national mission objectives by providing technical support and assurance resources to the Idaho Operations Office. He serves as Chief Operating Officer and Cognizant Security Office and is responsible for day-to-day oversight and evaluation of all Idaho National Laboratory facilities and reactor and fuel line pilot programs under NE’s Other Transactional Authority. Mike is the Safety Basis Approval Authority for some reactor and all non-reactor nuclear facilities and is the Officially Designated Federal Security Authority for NE.

Mr. McAnulty has over 30 years of nuclear experience in operations and oversight. Prior to joining DOE, Mike served in the U.S. Navy and was a Chief Refueling Engineer at the Naval Reactors Facility.

Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland-College Park and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Idaho.
