AECON
Tasfia Preeti is one of Aecon Nuclear’ s Project Directors and spent the past decade contributing to the successful, ahead-of-schedule and under-budget completion of the Darlington Refurbishment Project. She joined Aecon in 2016 as a Project Coordinator and, by consistently pursuing new challenges and development opportunities, progressed to the role of Deputy Project Director. Most recently she served as the Darlington Refurbishment Unit 4 Return to Service Project Director for CanAtom. Throughout her tenure, Tasfia also supported early planning for the Pickering Refurbishment, helping inform major decisions on Aecon’s infrastructure approach for the Pickering retube, boiler, and feeder programs.
Tasfia holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering and Management from Ontario Tech University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario. She also earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, supporting her ability to lead and execute large-scale, complex projects.
Tasfia remains connected to the next generation of nuclear professionals as an active alumnus and mentor. She is committed to advancing equality and inclusivity in the industry and is an engaged member of Women in Nuclear, recently graduating from the WiN LEAP program. She continues to “pay it forward” through conversations on the nuclear renaissance and leadership development within the sector.
Tasfia is a mother to an energetic three-year-old and balances the joys and demands of parenting with a dynamic career. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and travelling, viewing the world as a continuous learning opportunity—an outlook that reflects her belief that “the world is your oyster."
