Will Wagner serves as the Vice President, Manager of Business Development for Bechtel’s Nuclear Power business, where he leads customer engagement, marketing, early-stage commercial negotiations, and bid activity for a rapidly expanding market. Previously, he served as Deputy Manager of Business Development, strengthening strategic relationships with major industry partners. Will’s earlier Bechtel roles include serving on Ohio One—a major semiconductor program—as Commercial and Prime Contract Manager, where he led complex change management processes and contributed to record customer satisfaction results. From 2020-2023, Will was Chief of Staff to Brendan Bechtel, the Chairman and CEO of Bechtel Group, Inc., helping lead enterprise-level strategy and executive engagement. Before joining Bechtel, Will built a distinguished career as State Department official. His work focused on Middle East policy, multilateral negotiations, counterterrorism, arms control, and sanctions. He served as Senior Policy Adviser to Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and as a speechwriter and policy adviser to U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power. In addition to Will’s leadership experience in both government and the private sector, he brings a global perspective shaped by years of international assignments and cross-functional project work. His professional background spans diplomacy, strategy, commercial management, and project execution, supported by language capabilities in Arabic, Persian, and Spanish.
Will holds a Master’s in Public Affairs with distinction and a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, where he was a Scholar in the Nation’s Service.
