Gina Taylor serves as the Senior Manager, Emergency Preparedness for Entergy's four nuclear stations with five reactors located in Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. In this role, Gina is responsible for setting the strategic vision and direction for the Emergency Preparedness program across the entire Entergy nuclear fleet. She leads a team of site and corporate level Emergency Preparedness professionals and provides guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure standardized processes, procedures, and a culture of excellence are maintained at each station. As the fleet-wide Emergency Preparedness manager, Gina leads all aspects of the program. This includes the drill and exercise program, offsite radiological exposure calculations, and other technical elements of the emergency plan. Gina ensures overall compliance with all federal, state, and station-specific emergency plan requirements. Additionally, Gina maintains strong relationships and direct interface with state, local, and federal offsite agencies to support the continued protection of the health and safety of the public.
Previously, Gina served as a Senior Project Manager in Emergency Preparedness for Entergy from September 2019 to March 2025. Mrs. Taylor oversaw the Drill and Exercise program elements for the Entergy nuclear fleet. Gina was responsible for leading fleet and station development through continued training of the drill/exercise program, offsite radiological exposure calculations, and overall implementation of federal and station emergency plan requirements. She is the primary lead and fleet oversight to ensure each stations’ drills and biannual exercises meet all regulatory and station requirements. Mrs. Taylor led the initiative to develop a design and implement a drill software for the Entergy fleet to make reporting required information to the regulator more efficient and automated. Portions of the software were developed for and utilized by the nuclear industry. Mrs. Taylor served as an Emergency Planner at the Waterford 3 Steam Electric Station in Taft, Louisiana from 2014 to 2020. In this capacity, she was responsible for implementation of the station’s emergency plan and commitments designed to ensure the health and safety of the public and plant personnel. Specific elements included the development and execution of the station’s drill and exercise program, emergency response organization structure, offsite agency coordination, and emergency response facility readiness. She was responsible for direct interface with members of the state and parish offsite agencies in preparation for hurricanes/inclement weather and demonstration of federally required training, drills, and exercises. Mrs. Taylor gained further project management experience through creating two new emergency response organization facilities for the Waterford 3 station. Through this effort, Gina lead and worked with individuals from a number of different backgrounds and disciplines to gain more experience and knowledge in areas expanding outside of nuclear emergency response.
Mrs. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Crisis and Disaster Management with a minor in Business Continuity from the University of Central Missouri. During her career at Entergy, she earned an ANSI Management Certifiation – PWR in 2021.
