Nathan Clark is a nuclear power leader with two decades of experience spanning advanced reactor development, Army microreactor programs, commercial BWR operations, and U.S. Navy nuclear training. He currently supports new nuclear development initiatives for Energy Northwest, leading licensing strategy and regulatory engagement for the Cascade Advanced Energy Facility’s planned deployment of twelve Xe 100 reactors in partnership with Amazon. Clark previously served at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where he helped shape regulatory frameworks for the U.S. Army Reactor Office and built partnerships across the Western power sector to prepare utilities for emerging nuclear technologies. At Energy Northwest’s Columbia Generating Station, he led the thermal performance, in-service testing, and NERC/WECC grid reliability programs. Earlier in his career, he worked as a BWR fuel thermal hydraulics engineer at Framatome and as an instructor at the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School, earning recognition as the 2010 Charleston Federal Employee of the Year – Outstanding Supervisor. He teaches nuclear engineering at Washington State University and holds degrees in mechanical engineering (BYU) and nuclear engineering (Penn State), along with professional certificates in project leadership, AI strategy, and business management from Cornell University.
